Max Payne
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0467197/
Plot:
Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent (Wahlberg) whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin (Kunis) out to avenge her sister’s death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.
Review: Continuing the trend of making video games into movies, but one that wasn’t touched by Uwe Boll. It follows the first Max Payne game well and sticks to the storyline. Mark Wahlberg was “ok” for the role, the atmosphere of the movie was dark and grungy much like the video game. But having a clean shaven and well dressed Mark Wahlberg didn’t add to that dark and grungy feeling, the same kind you’d see in Sin City or The Crow. I don’t think he was made for the role, he might be what made the movie seem a little “boring” at times. I think someone like Clive Owen might have fitted the role better. It was also left wide open for a sequel, which we will most likely see in a few years. I’d wait for DVD or torrent if you want to see it, it just wasn’t satisfying enough to warrany seeing it at the movies, but still worth the watch none the less.
